     The new BS8599-1:2019 standard requires industries with potential risks of critical injury to have a Critical Injury Pack in addition to their normal workplace first aid kits. Major trauma injuries are most likely to occur in environments involving dangerous equipment or machinery, sharp instruments, cutting equipment, power tools, construction, agriculture, forestry, and other high-risk activities. To meet these needs, three categories of Critical Injury Packs have been introduced—Low Risk, Medium Risk, and High Risk—ensuring appropriate coverage for different workplace environments. The Low Risk pack is specifically designed for offices, small kitchens, shops, and small businesses carrying out low-risk activities.
